I started on 10th august early mornin to Tampa. Arambamae super!! i mistook the baggage-weight thing and packed up things awesomely wrong. My first step at chennai airport was getting a boarding pass whr they wud weigh ur baggages. Lolz. I was asked to remove almost 10kgs totally from two of my bags. :( What else cud i do!!?? I had to open my suitcases and everyone around started to look at me like a mini-grocery shop owner full of masala food stuffz and kitchen utensils carefully placed inbetween my clothes. Somehow i managed to reshuffle things and got clearance from there.Then everything went normal.Around 12:45am i boarded the plane. During this time i started talkin to a few MS-gonna-do guys, who too were boarding the same plane and helped me during my repacking at the airport. We exchanged our seats with other passengers and saw to that we 4 were sittin together.

The flight travel was quite a new experience. Somehow i got window seat.[Happa jannal seat :p.] I dint feel anythin much cos, as soon as the flight took off i started seeing the films :) The bad thing is tht i dont understand hindi much, and the good thing was all the hindi films has sub titles :). So saw dostana, luck by chance, race and dragon ball evolution [horrible, really this movie sucks !!! ]. The food provided was good, but failed to full my tummy :p. Then next, i had to wait for some 3 hours at brussels airport, which was really a huge place.

Then again boarded the same flight and reached New York the next day[I am seriously fucked up with the time change at places, cos it varies from place to place]. The jfk airport is one the biggest airports available. We managed to somehow see all the places of a single temrinal [thr were abt 12 to 13 terminals] with the two hours inbetween after the immigration and customs clearance.It so happens that, whateva we see in the shops are awesomely costly and ur mind naturally converts the dollars into rupees imme. :( So, i dropped even a idea of gettin a water bottle which is 2$ ['Wtf!! shell out 100 rupees for a litre of water!!?? Its ok. next flight la, we can get it free'- this is the mentality of almost all new ppl cmg here and iam no exception to it :)]. Then i waved a bye to the guys who accompanied me and boarded the next flight to my final destination, Tampa.

Soon i reached Tampa. To my pleasant suprze, thr was friend of mine[This saudi was actually my dad's friend co-worker studyin thr now. before startin i told him tht il cmg thr nu on tht day]. Within a few minutes a guy from the indian community came for my pickup too. After finishg the airport formalities, tht Indian guy and me went to collect my baggages. lolz. One of my bags got missed!!! Last, i saw it at new york b4 handin it to the customs.But it seems it normal for such things to happen pola. Imme i reported to the authoraties thr. Hopefully i should get it today or tomrw :)

Then we both went to McDonalds and had our dinner there. The awesome part is, these fuzzy drinks are unlimtd here once u pay a amt of 5 or 6$. Say lik u pay it once in the morng, u can refill the 600ml container how many ever times u want tht day.

Then i entered into my apartments which is just a 5 min walk from my campus. 4 of us gonna share this apartment. Its actually more than i expected. The rooms are quite big and furnished. A big hall with a kitchen and two rooms upstairs above this. As of now, i dont have a proper net connection. Iam usin some unauthorzd signal pickin up here :p. So from now, should start off with my wrks. Planng to get student id card today, which is essential for nethin u buy and newhere u go. Then one by one should strt doing things...openg a bank accnt... gettin a mobile connection... nd last but not the least.. search for job :( :)

Currently the digital cameras work on the concept of CCD (charged coupled devices). To put it simple its somewhat like a matrix array inside your camera. When u take a snap, the light sensor is divided up into many small arrays of receptor cells. .. which are like small buckets that absorbs the light particles and stores them as electrical charges.The more light these arrays of cells exposed the more light is recorded. The charge generated by the CCD is stored as analogue information until it s digitized from analogue to digital converter or ADC. Every receptor in the array is equivalent to one pixel and it is the pixels that make up an image. these are anolog version is processed depending on the settings u keep.. the image quality can be kept in three modes.. low.. medium ..high.. the maximum size of an single image has reached approximately around117 mb.. but this methodology greatly depends on the light settings.. u might have seen tht when we take certain snaps.. there would be a red light blinking in the camera.. its an indication of lack of enough light to fill up the array buckets.
the other method is by using CMOS(Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor) chips.The CMOS based sensors are manufactured using the same process that is used to mass produce DRAM and microprocessors. CMOS sensors are cheaper and easier to manufacture than CCD chips, as they are smaller and more energy efficient than CCD's. Generally speaking, digital cameras that use CMOS chips are usually lighter than their CCD counterparts.CMOS technology allows other circuitry to be incorporated into the same chips, making them useful to a manufacturer for use in other electronic applications.

29th march 2008….. Today i went to college to see the projects made by my seniors... I was awestruck when I saw my lab…. computer science lab was full of electronics projects... lolz... I could hardly see any computer science projects... Almost every single project had chips, microcontroller and other stuffs... am not trying to degrade the hard work put by them or the standard of their projects…but why should a computer science guy do a electronics project, when his own discipline has exhaustive scopes… may be, making a model helicopter fly or making a model vehicle move on your command may look fancy.. But, for this why do we actually need to study four years of computer science..??? Engineering means more than making projects for the deaf and dumb which obviously aren’t commercialized... in the sense... I have never seen any of these projects reaching the people who really need them … Besides all this, yesterday I saw a guy silently sitting and working on his project... Even though his project didn’t attract much crowd as the other projects had… it was clearly the best one there... he had developed a software based open source project new to linux platform… he explained only the crux of the project… But it clearly gave away the hard work he had put in it...To my sense it somewhat resembled the wrapper classes we write for languages... hats off!!

A simple word that even shuts the most loquacious tongue in my class is ‘placement’… slightest utterance of ths word brings in dead silence within the class..lolz.. the expression on each face wud b like something had terribly gone wrong… some even happen to take notes which had already been repeatd umpteen no of times.. the latest craze amg, most of my class girls nd few of de boys s apti.. informally they r studyin ths with 6 semester pprs as 7^th ppr.. We had been expectin our placmnt dates since feb..nd finally they ve been declared.. 14^th may.. kewl!! one day aftr my semester gets over.. wow. So much time left fa us to prepare..!!??!! have they given the slightest thought abt those who terribly rely on the last 3 days b4 ne xam??… what does this actually mean… do they want us to be spontaneous for this.. r does the companies jus wanna fill the positions for their prospects..whateva mayb.. only those who had sincerely hit the books al these days would attend confidently.. k.. me signin off.. gtg.. atleast at ths point I must get a r.s.agarwal…lolz..
